Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question? Then you’ve come to the right place! Our patients ask us great questions every day, and we thought it would be helpful to include some of the most common ones right here on our site. To view the answers, simply click on the questions below. If you still have a question after reading this page, please don’t hesitate to just call and ask us. We’re more than happy to take the time to make sure you completely understand your dental care.

How often should I visit my dentist?

According to our own Dr. Mihran Asinmaz and the American Dental Association, patients of all ages should visit their dentist at least twice a year in order to prevent common dental problems such as tooth decay, cavities, gum disease, and even oral cancer.

Do I still need a dental cleaning even if I brush and floss every day?

Yes! Your teeth simply have too many small, hard to reach surfaces that you can’t clean with your brush and floss alone. A dental cleaning provided by one of our skilled hygienists can reach these difficult areas and make sure that your smile is completely protected the entire year.

What can you do about my broken/decayed tooth?

We can fix it! For a small cavity or slightly damaged tooth, we can repair it in just one appointment using a tooth-colored filling. However, if the damage is a little more extensive, we may choose to restore it using a natural-looking dental crown. Regardless of which one we use, we’ll make sure that your new tooth looks and feels great.

Can you help with my missing teeth?

Yes! We actually have a number of tooth replacement solutions that can be used to help a wide variety of patients. If you have just one or a few teeth missing right next to one another, we can replace them using a dental bridge. If your tooth loss is a little more extensive, we can make you a comfortable-fitting and natural-looking denture.

However, for the best long term solution, we may suggest that you get dental implants. These can be used to restore anything from a single tooth to an entire smile, and they provide the most benefits of any treatment when it comes to aesthetics, security, AND longevity.

What can I do to make my smile look better?

There is quite a bit you can do! In addition to taking care of your teeth at home, we can provide you with cosmetic dentistry services that can help you with things that you can’t do on your own (such as whitening your smile or fixing chips, cracks, or gaps).

My teeth are crooked/have large gaps. Do I have to get braces?

While braces are a very effective treatment, they simply aren’t right for everyone. For adult and teen patients who need to maintain their natural appearance while straightening their smile, we can offer Invisalign. This clear aligner system can straighten the teeth while being completely unnoticeable to those around you. In the end, the only thing they’ll see are the results!

Will you accept my dental insurance?

We do accept a number of PPO dental insurance plans. However, we believe that a patient’s dental care shouldn’t be primarily dictated by their insurance coverage, so we will always recommend the treatments that offer the best results rather than those that are simply covered by your plan. To learn more about how we can use your particular plan, please contact us today.
